SHABBOSIM
Shabbos programs at Oryah Seminary are thoughtfully designed to offer a range of enriching experiences, fostering spiritual growth, personal inspiration, and deep connections with the goal of deepening one’s appreciation for Shabbos.
In Shabbosim: These take place within the seminary community and offer students the chance to connect with guest families in a warm, familial setting.
Shabbatons: Immersive experiences where the entire seminary travels to various locations across Israel, allowing students to explore, bond, and grow spiritually. These include our annual Shabbos achdus, mother daughter Shabbaton, & Shabbos Aryeh leib.
Off Shabbosim: Opportunities for students to independently experience Shabbos in different homes and environments, promoting growth and self-discovery.

COMMITTEES
The committee programs at Oryah Seminary, that happen Dailey, weekly, and monthly, are a vibrant part of the seminary experience, designed to engage every student in meaningful and enjoyable activities that bring the spirit of Ruchniyus to life. These programs not only enhance the girls' spiritual growth but also foster a sense of community, creativity, and personal investment in their year at seminary.
FARBRENGENS Thursday night weekly farbrengens at Oryah Seminary are a cherished tradition that bring students together for an evening of inspiration, connection, and deep learning. Typically, these gatherings feature a variety of speakers—often guest lecturers, faculty members, or community leaders—who address spiritual and personal growth from a Chabad perspective.
CHESSED Oryah Seminary’s weekly Chesed program, held every Wednesday, is a cornerstone of the seminary's commitment to fostering compassion, community service, and personal growth in its students. The program is designed to give students an opportunity to engage in hands-on acts of kindness and charitable work, which are central values in the Chabad philosophy.

We are looking for girls who are genuinely interested in growing in every aspect of their lives, spiritually, physically, and emotionally. We want girls who are committed to being present and making the most out of their year. There are standards in the seminary to ensure a growing and positive environment of highest level halacha. We expect girls to adhere to the rules and understand their significance. Learning is a large aspect of the program as well as experiential and discussion-based classes. Therefore, students should be curious, interested in developing their knowledge, and ready to ask questions.
