Our full-time learning program is comprised of three educational pillars: Text-driven learning, discussion-based collaborative learning, and experiential learning. The entire curriculum communicates the timeless, deep messages of Torah and Chassidus, making them relevant today.

We believe in staying true to ourselves while simultaneously changing the world one mitzvah at a time.

Experience

Throughout the year, seminary students will take their learning on the road. They will visit multiple Jewish communities in Israel, where they will be immersed in cultures and history they have never seen or heard of and be prompted to find the connection to the things we have learned. In this way, we hope to inculcate them with the eternal truth that all Jews are connected. We will be taking an inspirational journey to Poland to connect and solidify our Jewish identity. Our girls will have many opportunities over our Shabbosim to experience Eretz Yisrael as well. Our Shabbosim are a great combination of in-Shabbosim, off Shabbosim, and Shabbatons.

We have chosen Eretz Yisrael as our location so that the girls can experience the land and watch it come alive. Our students will have numerous opportunities where they will be able to take part in the community through our weekly chesed program, mivtzoyim and local activities within the neighborhood.

We believe in empowering through experience.

Grow

The objective at JSOI is to impart not only knowledge, but to promote confidence and self-discovery through the acquisition of life skills and professional training in the arts, entrepreneurship, and the field of education. We will be eexploring different choices of extra curricular classes as well as opportunities to teach their own class and put their knowledge and learning to the test by giving it over in their own, unique style.

We believe in the power of growth through learning and experiencing.

Devorie Glick JSOI תשפ”ב says…

From my very first day at Oryah, I was deeply impressed at the level of dedication that the staff here displayed, committed that all of us succeed in seminary. A few things that primarily stand out to me are:
* The entrepreneurship classes: Various business people sharing practical skills, experience, and wisdom that we can use in our future careers and life in general.
* Specialty classes: For example, we recently participated in an especially enjoyable 4-week course on self-defense.
* Inspiring Shabbatons. We recently spent Shabbos in Chevron, right next to Mearas Hamachpeila! We had the opportunity to experience an incredible tour and hear the mind-blowing stories of this special place. This was just one of many Shabbatons that seminary provides for us.
* For Chagim and Chassidishe Yomim-Tovim, there are unbelievable student-run programs. It's amazing to see how everyone got so involved!
* The Sunday trips give us a chance to explore Israel and really get to experience the land: Ein Gedi, The Dead Sea, Masada, Tekoa, Shiloh, museums, and so much more.
I strongly feel that Oryah seminary has so much to offer and is an opportunity of a lifetime.
